Privacy Policy

The short version

Nomad Money is designed to be private by default. In the free tier, we collect nothing — your expense data never leaves your device. We don't use advertising SDKs, we don't sell data, and we don't require an account to use the app.

Data we collect

Free tier (Explorer)

We collect no personal data. All expense records, trip data, budgets, and settings are stored locally on your device using the device's secure storage. Nothing is transmitted to our servers. We have no access to your financial data.

Nomad Pro (paid tier)

If you subscribe to Nomad Pro, we store the following to provide cloud sync:

• An anonymous account identifier (no name or email required unless you choose to add one)
• Your encrypted expense data for sync purposes — encrypted end-to-end before leaving your device
• Subscription status, managed by Apple App Store or Google Play (we never see your payment card details)

What we don't collect

• No advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID)
• No location data
• No crash analytics beyond what Apple/Google provide by default
• No third-party analytics SDKs
• No data sold or shared with third parties

Third-party services

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple App Store and Google Play. Their respective privacy policies govern payment data. We receive only a subscription status confirmation — never your payment details.

Exchange rate data is fetched from a currency API. These requests contain no personal information — only the request for rate data.

Data retention

Free tier data lives entirely on your device. Deleting the app removes all data. For Nomad Pro users, cloud backup data is deleted within 30 days of subscription cancellation upon request.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold. For free tier users, this is handled entirely on-device. For Nomad Pro users, contact us and we will delete your cloud data within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified within the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
